Two weekends ago, I dreamed up a perfect day
of going to the park as a family.
Virginia swinging for the first time...
Laying on a blanket in the grass...
Watching our little girl light up as she felt the grass between her toes
and listened to children playing around her...
Well, it was a tad warmer and a ton more humid than in my dream!
Virginia was also not at her happiest because she was ready for a nap.
But I was determined, and Josh was nice enough to oblige me.
I was REALLY trying to force this.
So our trip to the park ended up being about 7 minutes:
Get stroller, baby, and gear out of car.
Baby cries.
Baby calms down enough for a few pictures.
Mom and Dad look at pictures on camera while baby falls forward in the swing.
(Not out of swing!)
Baby cries.
Mom decides maybe the grass will be more fun for baby.
Dad spreads blanket out and Mom sits down to HAVE A GOOD TIME.
Baby is fussing.
Mom, Dad, and baby pack everything up and head back to car.

Better luck next time!
