Easter

We had a great Easter weekend with our families, although it was a quick trip.  Josh worked Saturday and then we pulled out of the driveway that afternoon.  After a pitstop in Bessemer to pick up a gift and sitting in awful traffic on 65N, we finally arrived in Florence 4 hours and 15 minutes later!  V was a trooper.  I packed a bottle for the road and fed it to her when we were at a standstill on the interstate.  I even unbuckled her for a minute so she could lean forward to burp.  I'm glad no one called 911 on us!  We were literally NOT moving, though, and could see the line of cars miles ahead, so I didn't feel too bad about it.

It sure was nice to finally get to Mummi and Doc's and have a wonderful Easter dinner prepared by Mummi.  Benjamin, Laura, Kate, Henry, Ahmom (Laura's momma), Jonathan, and Katie were all there and we had a nice, relaxing, evening together.

Virginia looked like a baby doll in her bonnet!  I wish I had've gotten a good picture of her dress, too.
We'll have to have a photo shoot this week.
(She'll be 2 months on Thursday... Agh!)

These two goofballs had a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT this weekend!!
They're expecting a Little one in October!!
Josh and I (and Virginia, of course) couldn't be more excited about this new niece or nephew and are so glad that they'll be back in Alabama for it's arrival!

We had the Brewer family Easter lunch on Sunday at Aunt Teresa's.  The food there never ceases to be anything short of amazing and the company is even better!  Josh and I love Teresa's house and wish we could pick it up and take it with us.  The weather was perfect Sunday, so we sat on the front porch and were entertained by Larkin singing Mary Poppins and this little cutie hunting Easter eggs:

Poor, sweet, face had a run-in with some mean ol' steps.

Wouldn't be Easter without Grandmother's bunny cake!

Virginia survived another weekend trip to Florence and has actually slept from 10:00pm until 5:15am two nights in a row!  What a good girl.  Now, only one more week of tax season and then this Little family of three is headed to the BEACH!
