My brother Davis graduated from UA a couple weekends ago,
so we enjoyed a trip back to T-town to watch him walk!
My folks stayed with us the night before since graduation was at 9:00 a.m.
We always chow down on Saw's Barbecue when they come in town.
Saw's = Best BBQ ever
And it's a short walking distance from my house.
Right next to the best cupcake place ever...
And a great pizza place...
And an ice cream shop...
It's really a wonder that we don't eat out every night!
Anywho, back to graduation.
I get sidetracked talking about food pretty easily!
Oh yeah, one more note about food-
We went to Steel City Pops for popsicles after dinner.
A little bit further from the house, but still walkable.
If you haven't experienced SCP, it is a MUST!
To die for!
We went to bed way too late Friday night, talking and trying to fix Davis's graduation cap.
Ehhem... someone thought that the cardboard in the hat was supposed to be removed,
and it's definitely not.
I woke up at 5:00 a.m. with Virginia and come to find out
Dad has already taken a shower and is ready for the day,
Davis is awake and laying on the couch watching Cheaper by the Dozen,
and Mom is awake, too!
So I stayed out in the den with the rest of the party.
Josh walked out a couple minutes later and just laughed at all of us!
Dad and Davis needed to leave by 7:00, but considering it takes both of them
10 minutes to get ready, they could have easily gotten up at 6:30.
Josh went for a run
(he wasn't about to go back to sleep with the rest of the house up and at 'em)
and then the rest of us got ready and headed over to our alma mater.
The graduation ceremony was... well... a graduation ceremony!
But it sure was nice to watch my little brother get his diploma!
Virginia was a sweetie and was also proud of her Uncle Davis.
Another great weekend for the books!
(or, for the blog)
