Virginia had to go see the Doc a couple days after we came home from the hospital to get her bilirubin level rechecked. (It was 11.3 in the hospital, which was a tad high.)
She looked like an angel, of course!
Then a mean ol' lady made her get down to just her diaper and proceeded to squeeze blood out of her little heel for what seemed like an eternity. I wanted to scream and cry right along with V.
She was a trooper, though, and forgave me for taking her to that awful place!
Her weight was up to 7 lb 13 oz... 2 oz higher than her birth weight. (Yay, V!)
The bili level was a little higher (12.5 I think), but Dr. L just said to sit in the sunlight throughout the week and it should get better.
We went back to see him after one more week and he said her coloring looked so much better that he didn't make her suffer through another heel prick. Also, at that appointment, her weight was up to 8 lb 4 oz.
Next doc appointment is March 13th. Can't wait to see how much she weighs at that point!
