Sunroom

The sunroom may be my favorite part of our little Little house. It welcomes us home every time we walk through the front door and provides a landing space before walking into the den. I love how the sunlight fills the room making it so bright and cheery, how we can kick off our dirty shoes without flipping out that there's a little stray dirt on the floor, and how no matter how many friends we have over, we always end up squeezing in this little room for fun conversations and laughter.

The rockers were left by the previous homeowners and Mom picked up the settee while antique shopping with my aunts. The rockers didn't have cushions and I wasn't digging the fabric on the settee's cushion, so I scavenged through my sister's fabric stash and decided on this small plaid in the colors found in the rug. To make cushions for the rockers, I bought 4-inch foam from Hobby Lobby and cut it to size. Now for the most difficult reupholstery project you'll ever see.

Cut fabric. Fold under. Safety Pin.

Now - if your name is Beth Brewer then this may not cut it. If your name is Bonnie Brewer Little, then it'll do in a pinch. :) I also made the pillows from fabric in Hailey's stash. The floral one was glue gunned...

Another plus to sitting in the sunroom is gazing across the street at the DOLLHOUSE in which our sweet neighbors live:

  1. Precious, Bonnie! I love that you focused on one room in your house. Also, excellent fabric choice and those cushions look just perfect in there!
