Well we're heading up to Florence to work on wedding stuff! Mom is flying in to Birmingham tonight and Josh and I are going to go pick her up and then head up to the Shoals. Tomorrow we're going to meet with Turtle Point to discuss where exactly the wedding will be set up, what food will be at the reception, etc. We're also going to pick out invites and programs at PSI. And! (trumpets sound), we're going to order my dress. I've had it picked out for a while, but I want Mom to see it on me before ordering it. She's seen pictures and loves it, but wants to see it in person. On person. I'm looking forward to seeing Mom... haven't seen her in 2009! It's about time. I'm sure we'll visit with all the grandparents this weekend, too, which will be nice. Unfortunately, I have a lot of school work to do, so hopefully that won't weigh down on me too much.
Since we'll be in Florence on Valentine's Day with Mom, Josh and I "celebrated" last night. By "celebrated" I mean we grilled out hot dogs and I made heart cupcakes. ha! We decided not to spend any money buying things for each other this year. Also, in years past, I have tried to cook fancy meals for Valentines Day... but I decided that this year we'd just do something that Josh loves : hotdogs. Plus, we've both been busy this week with quizzes, tests, and homework galore, so there was no time for Beef Wellington. FYI -- do not buy turkey dogs if you plan on grilling them. YUCK!! They were so gross that I ran to Publix and bought the real thing. 16 grams of fat per dog and all. So our romantic Valentines night consisted of burned, dry turkey dogs replaced by heart attack beef franks washed down with Coke Zero sitting on the couch watching Carolina Blue prevail over the Blue Devils. I wouldn't have had it any other way! :)
The weather has been amazing this week, by the way. I have had my doors open and car windows down as much as possible. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am!
I love your Valentine's story! Thats so cute!! Let's be blogspot friends...you would be my first one! :)

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I would love to be blogspot friends :) Blogs are the best, aren't they?? (I tried to post this comment on your blog, but it said I couldn't post because I wasn't a "team member".)
